Bulk and inner liner

This special form of container is an alternative to the conventional silo truck but can be used very variedly and more easily. Today 20 ft. standard containers are increasingly being used for deep-sea bulk transport. For this kind of transport you need an “inner liner”, which is a flexible plastic container designed for bulk cargo by Am Zehnhoff-Söns and is certified. Distribution is to well-known shippers in the chemical industry. After once-only use the inner liner will be recycled, thus enabling our customer to dispense with expensive and cost-intensive packaging together and at the same time achieve higher payloads.

Flexible response – the container depot

Numerous carrier and container lease companies make use of Am Zehnhoff-Söns depot space. So they can respond flexibly to  regional market requirements. By using the CODECO system our customers will be kept informed about current container levels daily.

Modern water-transport logistics: Short sea shipping

By enlarging our service portfolio we now also offer short sea transport. The intermodal transport chain truck – barge – coaster in particular scores by reliability, huge capacity and environmental aspects. As a service provider directly located on the River Rhine we connect the Middle Rhine area with Europe.

By developing the Port of Bonn we created additional handling capacity. This enables us to offer you permanent and environmental friendly alternatives to direct trucking

Our terminal is located directly on the River Rhine. Thanks to modern, IT-supported gantry and multi-purpose cranes – all linked to a computerized storage location management system we guarantee a quick and save handling of your cargo.

With more than 50 arrivals and departures per week from/to the seaports Rotterdam, Antwerp and Amsterdam the Port of Bonn offers an above-average sailing frequency. Due to short transit times we ensure that over 85 % of all containers are transported in the combined way.
